Abstract
This community service activity aims to improve the literacy and skills of housewives in planning and managing household finances in Tarowang Village, Tarowang District, Jeneponto Regency. The main problem faced by the local community is a lack of understanding of basic financial concepts, such as the difference between needs and wants, recording expenses, and effective savings strategies. This activity was held for two days, on September 2–3, 2025, at the Tarowang Village Hall, involving 30 housewives recommended by the village government and the Family Welfare Movement (PKK). The implementation method included interactive lectures, household budgeting simulations, individual mentoring, and evaluation through pre- and post-test questionnaires. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the level of participant understanding from 56% to 86%. Most participants began implementing daily expense recording and regular savings habits. In addition, a "Tarowang Financial Intelligence" study group was formed as a forum for ongoing learning. This activity has proven effective in fostering financial awareness, increasing family economic independence, and strengthening the role of women as household financial managers. Going forward, it is hoped that similar activities can be expanded through entrepreneurship training and the digitalization of financial recording.
