Pembentukan Karakter Islami Melalui Rumah Pengajian Sahabat ‘Ilmi Pada Usia Anak Sekolah di Dusun Papun Panjang Desa Koto Agung Kecamatan Keliling Danau Kabupaten Kerinci

Abstract

This community service is motivated by the need for Islamic character development for school-age children in Papun Panjang Hamlet, Koto Agung Village, Keliling Danau District, Kerinci Regency. The social environment and activity patterns of children who are still minimally accustomed to Islamic values ​​​​are a challenge in forming morals, discipline, and a sense of responsibility from an early age. Through the Islamic Character Building activities through the Sahabat 'Ilmi Study House, this program aims to instill a basic understanding of Islamic teachings, form habits of worship, and internalize noble moral values ​​​​in children's daily lives. The implementation method is carried out with an educational approach and habituation through recitation activities, reading age-appropriate Islamic learning materials, practicing manners (such as etiquette for learning and etiquette towards parents/teachers), providing examples, and simple character development evaluations. The results of the activity show an increase in children's enthusiasm in attending recitation, improved behavioral habits according to Islamic values, and an increase in children's awareness of the importance of discipline, courtesy, and responsibility. Thus, the Sahabat 'Ilmi Study Center can be an effective tool for developing Islamic character in school-age children in the local community. This program is expected to be sustainable through the support of parents, the community, and relevant parties, ensuring consistent character development.
